Real stories, captured with care.

These are a few of the families who trusted us to capture the memories that matter.

Meet David (32) and his Grandad Dennis (92)

Dennis sat down to share his life story with his grandson David.

They talked about his early years, growing up during wartime, and his experiences serving in Korea. He reflected on childhood memories that still stay with him, how he met the love of his life, and the life they went on to build together.

The conversation moved through marriage, raising a family, and the pride he feels now looking at his children and grandchildren.

For David, this was about more than recording memories.

He wanted his newborn son to know the man who has always been his hero, even when he’s no longer here.

A story told once, properly, and now kept within the family.

'A message to my unborn daughter.'

'A message to my unborn daughter.'

This one was a solo session, recorded in the studio.

At the time, he wasn’t a dad. He was just Dale.

He sat down to record a message for his future daughter, talking about what life felt like before becoming a parent. The worries, the goals, the things that mattered to him, and the kind of person he was in that moment.

He spoke about work, life, the stresses, the hopes he had for the future, and the things he didn’t yet have answers to.

The idea was simple.

In twenty years’ time, this video will be given to his daughter as a gift.

What made this one really special was knowing that she’ll only ever know him as “Dad”. This was a way of showing her who he was before that, when life looked different. A snapshot of who he was, before everything changed.

A moment captured now, to be understood later.

Tina & Kat - 'Mother and Daughter Diary'

Kat led the conversation, asking questions she’d never quite found the right moment to ask before.

As her mum shared her life story, things surfaced that had never been spoken about. Family details, memories, and moments that had quietly shaped her life, but hadn’t been passed on.

Some of the questions were simple. Favourite memories. Favourite Christmas. A concert she’d never forgotten.

Others were harder.

One of the most powerful moments came when her mum spoke about the kind of woman she hopes her daughter will be, long after she’s no longer here.

There were tears & laughter.

The kind of conversation that rarely happens in everyday life.

This story was recorded in our studio, a calm space designed for unhurried conversations, where nothing needed to be rushed.

Sam & Naomi - 'Our First Home'

Sam and Naomi, with their two young daughters.

As they prepared to leave their first home, Sam and Naomi wanted to hold on to what it had meant to them.

They talked about how they met, the early days together, and the life that slowly unfolded inside those four walls.

The small routines, the late nights, the everyday moments that don’t feel important until you realise they’re about to end.

With two young girls, aged four and eighteen months, this was a way of capturing not just the house, but the chapter of life it held.

Before the boxes were packed and the door closed for the last time, they sat down to record what this place had been to them.

A moment in between chapters, kept for the future.

'The family recipe'

A mother and daughter, cooking together.

This one was recorded at home, as a cooking session.

We went out to the family house and filmed them making some of the recipes that have been passed down through generations. And honestly, food just does that. It opens people up.

As they cooked, the conversation naturally moved into stories about growing up, what food was like in the house, and how things were different back then. Her mum spoke about not growing up with much, what her own parents were like around food, and how she learned to cook with what she had.

She talked about where her love of cooking came from, the recipes that mattered most to her, and why certain dishes still mean so much today. They even broke down her favourite recipe, the one she’s known her mum for making for years.

It wasn’t formal. It wasn’t planned.

It was just two people doing something familiar, and letting the memories come with it.

A family story told through food, in the place it belongs.

'The family recipe'

After hearing these stories, most people start thinking about someone in their own life.

A parent.
A grandparent.
A partner.

Or even a moment they don’t want to forget themselves.

There’s no right reason to do this, and no perfect time.

People use The Memory Room in different ways, at different stages of life.

What they all have in common is the same thought.

They didn’t want to leave it too late.

If you’re considering capturing a story, we’re happy to talk it through with you. No pressure, no obligation. Just a conversation about what you’d like to record and how it could work for you or your family.
